A Cautionary Tale

Some time ago I had the pleasure of announcing that I had been invited to take part in a Halloween-themed art show in a gallery in Australia. I sent several pieces at my expense, but never received payment for the one that sold. Now I discover that I will never receive payment, nor will the remaining pieces be returned to me. All attempts to communicate with the gallery owner have been met with silence. Many other artists have been similarly mistreated, as the article below details. The only solace I can find is that some artists lost more pieces than I did.      http://fitzroyalty.net/2016/05/24/auguste-clown-gallery-johnston-st-accused-stealing-artists/

Oops…

So I guess Grayson Fogg got so busy (I know, who isn’t?) he forgot to promote some recent pieces before posting them. I’m too tired to paraphrase him, so I’ll just quote directly:

“I’m afraid that my work schedule of late has been so hectic that I have been remiss in my promotional duties. Far from posting teaser images of soon-to-be-released pieces, and reminding visitors of the upcoming EHAG Emporium (which opened on the last day of September), I am only now getting to the former task, when it is a moot point for one of the pieces.  A sculpted bust, “Spooked”, and a color portrait, “Bumble and Squeak”, were my offerings for this most recent Emporium. Although the former has already sold, I will nonetheless include images here (as Etsy removes images once the piece has sold), along with images of the portrait, which is still available. My apologies for the tardiness and confusion.”–Grayson FoggIMG_0555aIMG_0553aIMG_0538aBumble and Squeak 1 002aBumble and Squeak 1 002a (2)

Too Late for One…

For the pieces offered by Mr. Richard Moore–Haughty flash saleA New Bride flash sale–you may contact him through the comments here (I will pass the word onto him immediately), or you may message him through his Facebook page, at https://www.facebook.com/richard.moore.7982 . “Haughty”, the first of the two, is priced at $240, and the second, “A New Bride”, is $250. Thank you for your attention, and I hope you enjoy the sale.

A Midsummer Night’s Scream flash sale

On June 20th, the good folks at EHAG are running a 24-hour Midsummer Night’s Scream Sale, from dawn till dusk. I will be offering several pieces at reduced prices, and Richard Moore–never before represented in the wondrous EHAG Emporium– will have two brand new, never-before-seen pieces for sale. Update

Recently, one of my first and favorite pieces, “Halloween Frolics”, sold, which means (of course) that the original is no longer available. However, prints are now available at http://fineartamerica.com/profiles/5-richard-moore.html . Halloween Frolics

Distractions, Distractions…

Work demands have kept me away for several months, for the most part, and as a result I’ve missed making several posts. There was no EHAG Emporium in December, so here is the piece I premiered in the January show.  As always, the original is available at https://www.etsy.com/shop/TheAutumnlands , and prints are available at http://fineartamerica.com/profiles/5-richard-moore.html .Sunset with Oliver redux 001 (3)

Rather intimidating company, to say the least, but I am nontheless honored to be included.

While I realize that intercontinental air travel to attend an art show may be beyond the means of many (my humble self included), I heartily encourage any and all who can make it to stop by and enjoy what will no doubt be a macabre feast for the eye and mind alike.  The Auguste Clown’s astounding array of art may also be enjoyed on your computing machine, by visiting http://www.augusteclown.com/ . EHAG Emporium for July

The wrought-iron gates of the July EHAG Emporium have creaked open, admitting courageous visitors. Here is a tiny portion of my contribution to this month’s ghastly selection. Visit http://ehagemporium.blogspot.com/ to see the full image.Trick or Treat color1 001 (4)
